Cardiff to London is a 200 mile ultramarathon starting outside the Millenium Centre at Cardiff Bay and ending with a photo finish at Big Ben in London. This is a 50/50 road and trail race that must be completed in 62 hours.

 

Runners follow the Welsh Coastal path to the Old Severn bridge at Chepstow to cross over to England heading towards Malmesbury and Swindon. After joining the Ridgeway trail to Goring on Thames, runners follow the Thames path all the way to Westminster.

Runners must have extreme ultra-running experience with a 100 mile finish being the minimum pre-requisite. Please only apply and make payment if you meet the required pre-requisite (entries can be rejected and refunded at the RD's discretion).

Registration will be in Travelodge Atlantic Cardiff Bay on the Thursday evening 8:00-10:00.

Start will be at 7am on Friday May 9th 2025 outside the Millenium Centre, Cardiff Bay. Bag drop will be at 6:15 am outside the Travelodge.


Runners have 62 hours (9pm) Sunday 11th of May to reach the middle of Westminster bridge.

  • ​No sticks.

  • No support.

  • No pacers.

  • No headphones.

  • High Viz worn at all times.

  • Runners will be given a GPX of the route.

  • Water and snack CPs will be approximately every 25 miles, with two bag drops at around 50 and 115. The bag drop locations will likely be indoors.

  • There will be strict internal cut offs (~34 hours at 115 TBA).

  • You must have your DNF strategy (a means to get home). We may not be able to transport you anywhere.
